The letter is from Dewey F. Bartlett to Commissioner Bell regarding the return of funds by Broken Arrow Public School to the Indian Education Division. Bartlett requests that a portion of the returned funds be used to fund the Indian Education Project at Cache School in Oklahoma. Bartlett also questions why the funds are returned to the United States Treasury instead of the Indian Education Division and asks for information on the extent to which funds are returned and how they could be used effectively for additional projects.
