Support for Extension of Title IV Funds: A Letter from Mike Smith to Senator Bartlett, 1978-03-07
Scope and Contents
Mike Smith, a student at Mitchell Elementary School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, wrote a letter in support of extending Title IV funds of the Indian Education Act. Senator Dewey F. Bartlett responded, thanking Mike for his support and assuring him that he will support the extension of the funds when the legislation reaches the Senate floor. Additionally, Lowell El, a fourth-grade student, also expressed his appreciation for the Indian Program and the special help he receives.
