Scope and Contents
The Bureau of Indian Affairs has published revised rules concerning the construction of public schools on or near Indian reservations, as authorized by the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act. The proposed rules incorporate feedback from Indian tribes and organizations and reflect an agreement between the United States Office of Education and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Comments on the proposed rules can be sent to the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Washington, D.C. within 30 days of publication.
