Scope and Contents
Mrs. Evelyn McClure wrote Congressman Carl Albert asking about the payments to the Choctaws and Chickasaws for the coal and asphalt lands. Congressman Albert replied that ballots for voting on the sale would be mailed to all living enrolled members of the tribes, and that after the vote the agreement would be returned to Congress for appropriations.
