Barbara Rosenfeld, Senior Counsel for the Motion Picture Association, is thanking Ambassador James R. Jones for his support in obtaining an exemption from the new tax on non-resident actors in Mexico. Ambassador Jones arranged a meeting with the Secretary of the Treasury, which led to the reinstatement of the pre-1997 exemption. Rosenfeld expresses gratitude on behalf of the MPA and Member Companies for the support in this matter.
