Scope and Contents

A new drug treatment center is set to open in Tulsa, funded by a federal grant, to help probationers and parolees struggling with drug addiction. The center will offer outpatient treatment and methadone therapy. Satellite centers will also be established in surrounding counties. The focus will be on treating drug addiction, particularly to amphetamines and barbiturates. The program is part of efforts to address drug problems in both urban and rural areas.
