Scope and Contents
The District/State Staff Institute agenda includes tours of the Senate and House chambers, discussions on the legislative process, how to use CRS more efficiently, and the politics of congressional information. There are also sessions on member accounts, franking regulations, grants and projects, and working with the executive branch. The Institute also covers writing for Congress, introduction to House/Senate information systems, and effective communication between Washington and District/State offices. Optional additional training sessions are available on the last day of the Institute.
