Scope and Contents
The National Council on Indian Opportunity met to discuss legislative proposals important to Indians and Alaska Natives. They reaffirmed their support for certain bills with amendments, endorsed a resolution repudiating the policy of termination, and made recommendations for greater Indian participation in a Commission. They expressed hope that the legislation would be passed favorably and offered their assistance to Senator Bartlett and the Committee.
