Mrs. Wheeler wrote to Congressman George B. Schwabe requesting his support for Bill H. R. 5477, which benefits members of the Merchant Marine. Schwabe responded, stating that he is studying the issue and will give it thorough consideration before voting on it. He assures Mrs. Wheeler and the Tulsa Chapter of the Maritime Mothers' Club that he will do his best to support the legislation.
