Scope and Contents
Luther P. Lane, an attorney at law, wrote to George B. Schwabe, a member of Congress, requesting that Merchant Marine boys be included in the G.I. Bill of Rights and given credit for military training. Schwabe responded assuring Lane that he would consider the matter, but was unsure when it would be brought before Congress.
