Mrs. H. V. Steadman wrote a letter to Congressman George B. Schwabe urging him to support the British Loan. Schwabe responded by stating that a survey of his district showed overwhelming opposition to the loan. He mentioned the uncertainty surrounding the Administration's decision on the loan and appreciated receiving Steadman's views. Schwabe expressed his hope that Steadman would ultimately approve of his actions on the issue.
