Labor Exactions and the New Deal: A Call to Action, 1945-11-03 - 1945-11-03

Scope and Contents

The letter from Eugene Whittington expresses concern over labor organizations demanding funds from their members and the lack of support for a 45-hour work week. Whittington questions why Congress is not addressing these issues and urges action to prevent negative consequences of unrestrained labor operations. In response, George B. Schwabe acknowledges the problems and suggests writing to Congress to demand a return to the American system of free enterprise.
