In a letter dated June 22, 1946, George B. Schwabe, a member of the House of Representatives, expresses his gratitude to Giles A. Penick, Jr., for his support in eliminating the O.P.A. and passing the Case Bill. Schwabe explains his stance on these issues and mentions his friendship with Penick's father. Penick had previously written to Schwabe on June 19, 1946, congratulating him on his efforts and expressing his hope for the enactment of the Case Bill.
