Scope and Contents
Mr. Schwabe received a request from Mr. Chastain to use his influence to persuade President Truman to sign the Case Bill, which had been passed by Congress but was at risk of being vetoed. Schwabe expressed his support for the bill and his intention to vote to over-ride the President's veto if necessary. He criticized the President's advisors and expressed his determination to do everything he could to help the bill become law.
