Opposition to May's Conscription Bill: A Letter from George B. Schwabe, M.C., 1945-02-02 - 1945-02-02
Scope and Contents
Mr. Riseborough sent a telegram to George Schwabe urging him to oppose May's conscription bill, which he had already done and voted against. Schwabe believed that voting against the bill was in the best interest of organized labor and the laboring man. He did not think the bill was truly American in spirit.
