Scope and Contents

Norman Barker, a notary and stenographer from Tulsa, Oklahoma, writes to George B. Schwabe, a member of the House of Representatives, to express approval of his recent speech in the Congressional Record. Barker also warns against a high-pressure group pushing for the country to get involved in foreign politics after the war, and urges Schwabe to oppose any budget or program that goes against the principles of President Washington. He expresses confidence in Schwabe's ability to vote for what is right in these crucial times.
