Scope and Contents
Mr. Henry Duncan wrote to Congressman George B. Schwabe inquiring about payments that he had heard were to be made to Indians in five or ten years. Congressman Schwabe responded saying he was not aware of any such payments, but mentioned a bill under consideration that would allow Indians to present their claims within five years. Mr. Duncan then wrote back asking for more information about the potential payments.
