Scope and Contents
The Tri-State Housing Conference held in 1945 in Fargo, North Dakota addressed the acute housing situation facing returning veterans. Over one hundred people attended, including government and private business representatives in the housing and building materials field. Resolutions were adopted recommending raising priorities for building materials for returning veterans and establishing a national policy for the distribution of war surplus building materials. These recommendations were addressed to the President of the United States and Congress.
