Scope and Contents

The American Legion has adopted a housing program based on the findings and recommendations of a Special Housing Committee composed of World War II veterans. The program requires national legislative action, and some recommendations have already been implemented by executive order. The program aims to address the housing needs of veterans and will be presented to Congress in due course. The Legion is actively working to speed up housing for veterans and has plans for community action to implement the program.
