The Adverse Effects of Housing Policies: A Letter to Honorable George B. Schwabe, 1946-03-29 - 1946-03-29
Scope and Contents
Mr. Rogers expresses his dissatisfaction with Mr. Wyatt's new housing program and ruling, stating that the scarcity of materials is due to unreasonable price controls by the OPA. He argues that the ruling will negatively impact small business owners and G.I.'s trying to establish their own businesses. Mr. Rogers urges Honorable George B. Schwabe to use his influence to have the ruling made less severe or removed entirely, as it will affect his building material company in Tulsa. He believes that the government's approach to solving economic issues is flawed and does not take into account individual community conditions.
