Scope and Contents
Congressman George B. Schwabe received a letter from the Chamber of Commerce in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, requesting him to vote against President Truman's Reorganization Plan No. 1, which would give control over the Federal Housing Administration and the Federal Home Loan Bank System to the National Housing Agency. Schwabe responded that he had voted against the plan and that it was turned down by the House. He thanked the Chamber of Commerce for their input and assured them that he had voted as they requested.
