Scope and Contents

Mrs. Gertrude Boyer wrote a letter to Congressman George B. Schwabe requesting the extension of the REA line to service her home in Nowata, Oklahoma. She provided a sketch showing the location of the current line and the distance to her residence. Congressman Schwabe responded, asking for more specific information and offering assistance in extending the line. Schwabe also mentioned the possibility of extending the line further if other subscribers beyond Boyer's residence were interested.
