Scope and Contents

Southwest Fabrics, Inc. sent a telegram to Congressman Schwabe requesting assistance with the OPA ceiling price on raw cotton stock. Congressman Schwabe contacted the Office of Price Administration on their behalf, and received a response from Administrator Paul A. Porter stating that the situation is under consideration. The company expressed concern about the price increase affecting their ability to obtain upholstery materials. Congressman Schwabe assured the company that he would do everything he could to assist them with their issue.
