False Rumor and Congressional Response: A Letter from George B. Schwabe, M.C., 1945-10-26
Scope and Contents
Congressman George Schwabe received a telegram from the Retail Merchants Association of Tulsa regarding a false rumor about a report being considered by the House of Representatives. Schwabe reassured them that he will work to obtain relief for them and expressed his disdain for the Office of Price Administration. He also mentioned his vote against the extension of the OPA. He sent them a marked copy of the Congressional Record containing a relevant speech.
