Scope and Contents

George B. Schwabe received a wire from Allen Lauhon Hardware Company requesting his help to stop OPA from confiscating the working capital of American retailers. Schwabe contacted the Smith Committee and believes they have done good work. He also discussed OPA in the House, expressing his disgust with their practices. Schwabe is proud to have voted against the extension of OPA and is always willing to defeat its policies. He advises the hardware company to look into the Smith Committee hearing and offers his assistance.
