Amendment 2 to Supplementary Order No. 132: Exemption of Fresh Cucumbers from Price Control, 1945-10-01

Scope and Contents

Supplementary Order No. 132, Amendment 2, issued on October 2, 1945, exempts fresh cucumbers from price control. This action was taken as cucumbers have a lower economic value compared to other fruits and vegetables, and controlling their prices presents administrative difficulties disproportionate to their contribution to stabilization. The exemption of cucumbers from price control is not expected to impact overall price control effectiveness or divert resources from essential production activities.
