Request for Tire Relief in Osage County, 1945-08-23
Scope and Contents
Mr. Ralph E. Barton wrote to Congressman George Schwabe about the urgent need for tires in Osage County, Oklahoma, due to the high demand exceeding the quota. Congressman Schwabe attempted to get relief but was unable to due to the confusion after the end of the war. Barton updated Schwabe on the situation and requested assistance in persuading authorities to release tires for civilian use. Schwabe expressed willingness to assist and asked for updates on the situation.
