Sugar Allotments for the Ice Cream Industry: A Letter to Hon. George B. Schwabe, 1945-05-29
Scope and Contents
The Carnation Company of Oklahoma sent a letter to Hon. George B. Schwabe requesting help in securing additional sugar allotments for the ice cream industry in the state. Schwabe responded, stating that he had already taken up the matter with Marvin Jones and Chester Bowles to reconsider the sugar allocations for industrial users and manufacturers, particularly during the ice cream season. The company urgently requested Schwabe's help in securing regular sugar rationing for the ice cream industry, which is essential as milk production is at its peak and ice cream is in peak demand.
