Scope and Contents

John H. Dykes, a Western Auto Associate from Enid, Oklahoma, writes to his friend George about a recent fishing trip and his views on the OPA (Office of Price Administration). He criticizes the OPA for its regulations on consumer goods and shares examples of how it has affected businesses and farmers. Dykes also mentions the lack of priorities for farmers since the election and how the OPA has made liars and cheats of merchants. He ends the letter by expressing hope that George can join him on their next fishing trip.
