Supporting Secondary Recovery Methods in Oklahoma: A Call to Action, 1945-07-05
Scope and Contents
The letter is from Mr. Schwabe to Mr. Bedford discussing the potential reserves of oil in Washington County and the importance of having a provision in the Interior Department Appropriations Bill to cover work by the Experimental Station in the Bureau of Mines located at Bartlesville. Schwabe mentions his attempts to include an item in the bill, but it ultimately failed. He expresses willingness to work with Mr. Johnson and others to address the issue for the benefit of the District and the State of Oklahoma. Bedford had previously written to Schwabe requesting his help in getting funding allocated for secondary recovery experiments at the Bureau of Mines Station. Schwabe acknowledges the importance of proper secondary recovery methods in Oklahoma and expresses willingness to help.
