Scope and Contents

The Federal Works Agency's Bureau of Community Facilities has approved the advance of Federal funds for the preparation of public works under the War Mobilization and Reconversion Act of 1944. The purpose of the advance is to encourage states and their agencies to prepare for the construction of public works when materials and manpower become available. The letter is addressed to Honorable George B. Schwabe, a member of the House of Representatives.
