Scope and Contents
The Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is responding to a request from Congressman George B. Schwabe regarding qualifications for positions in the FBI. The FBI is not currently hiring additional clerical or fingerprint personnel due to necessary reductions in staff. However, interested constituents can submit applications for consideration when positions become available. The qualifications for clerical positions include being a U.S. citizen, high school graduate, and meeting specific age, physical, and educational requirements. Salaries and working hours for various positions are also provided.
