Scope and Contents

A letter from George B. Schwabe, M.C. to Jo O. Ferguson informing him that his friend, Mrs. Betty Jeanne Harned Martin, has been appointed as a Clerk-Typist in the Farm Security Administration office in Pawnee, Oklahoma, effective April 10th. The letter acknowledges Ferguson's recommendation and expresses appreciation for his support. The original recommendation from Ferguson to Schwabe was prompted by Mrs. Martin's application for the position, stating her qualifications and suitability for the role. The Regional Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture also confirms Mrs. Martin's appointment in a separate letter to Schwabe.
