Correspondence Between Mr. Dillahunt and George B. Schwabe Regarding G.I. Loan Issues, 1946-03-21
Scope and Contents
The letter is from George B. Schwabe, a congressman, in response to a letter from Will Dillahunt expressing disappointment in his son's inability to obtain a G. I. loan. Schwabe acknowledges the difficulties veterans face in obtaining loans and states that the legislation meant to help them has been mostly lip service. He suggests that veterans may have an easier time getting loans without using their veteran status. Schwabe expresses a desire to improve the situation but acknowledges that not much progress has been made.
