Dr. Yule wrote to Congressman Schwabe asking him to vote against a bill that would extend government control over medical and dental professions. He argued that putting doctors on salaries would not incentivize them to provide better service. Instead, he proposed setting up a fund like insurance to allow patients to choose their own doctor. Congressman Schwabe reassured Dr. Yule of his opposition to socialized medicine and suggested directing efforts towards New Deal Democratic Congressmen and Senators.
