Urgent Request for Permanent Signs - Land Condemnation Case, 1973-01-01 - 1973-12-31
Scope and Contents
Mr. Leo King contacted the office of Cong. J. R. Jones on 8/15 to report that his cow and calf had been shot on his property by the intersection of old Highway 33 and the Verdigris River bridge. He requested more permanent and larger signs to be posted and enforced by the Corps of Engineers. Cong. J. R. Jones wrote to Colonel Driskill on 9/7 to request assistance with obtaining the signs, and the Corps later confirmed that permanent signs were installed. The case was closed on 10/16.
