Property Lease Issues: A Letter to Honorable George B. Schwabe, 1946-02-09

 Item — Box: 3, Folder: 39
Identifier: CAC_CC_047_1_3_39_0006

Scope and Contents

The letter addresses the issue of Mrs. Arlie Eden wanting to terminate the government lease on her property and regain possession of it. The Federal Public Housing Authority has no record of the transaction and is looking into the situation. Mr. Eden purchased the property for a home, but it is currently being rented out by the government. The tenants are mistreating the property, and Mr. Eden is unable to get possession. The Authority cannot rent a unit to the owner of the property, but they may rent a unit in another property. The letter requests assistance in resolving the issue and obtaining information on how Mr. Eden can regain possession of his property.
