Letter of Concern Regarding Mr. Beaver and Request for Assistance from Senator Harris, 1970-09-25
Scope and Contents
Miss Ray King writes to Senator Fred Harris in support of Mr. Beaver, a school employee who was fired for paddling students. She believes corporal punishment is necessary for improving discipline and asks Senator Harris to look into the situation. She also invites him to visit the elementary school library she set up with Title funds and requests government bulletins for their vertical file. Additionally, she expresses bitterness over her brother's recent defeat in the senate race. Senator Harris's legislative assistant responds, offering further assistance and warm regards.
