Political Advice from J. H. Cave to Senator Elmer Thomas, 1948-03-15
Scope and Contents
Senator Elmer Thomas agrees with J. H. Cave's viewpoint that President Truman does not have a chance of being re-elected. Thomas expresses hope for a change in conditions and suggests that Truman step aside to allow the party to name another candidate. Cave urges Thomas to find a better candidate and warns that without one, they are at risk of losing the election.
