Scope and Contents
The letter is a response from Senator Robert S. Kerr to Mr. John Baldridge, who had asked to borrow money. Senator Kerr explains that he does not have the means to loan money and expresses appreciation for Baldridge's support of the Democratic party. Kerr also mentions that he hopes Baldridge has recovered from his hospital stay. Baldridge's letter had outlined his financial situation and his support for Kerr and the Democratic party. Baldridge had asked for a loan of money until he could get back on his feet.
