Scope and Contents
Mr. Baker is having difficulty securing a loan from the Phillips Oklahoma City District Federal Credit Union. The credit union explains that they cannot approve his loan because his actual location is not within their field of membership. Mr. Baker questions this decision and expresses his frustration at not being able to do business with the credit union of his choice. The Bureau of Federal Credit Unions explains the limitations on membership for different credit unions based on defined areas. Mr. Baker expresses his frustration with the situation and questions the rules restricting his ability to do business with the credit union of his choice.
