Scope and Contents
Mr. Bayne from Oak Hill, Oklahoma wrote to Hon. Wilburton C Cartwright in Washington DC inquiring about the construction of a dam across Mountain Fork River in McCurtain County. Cartwright responded that a bill for the dam is pending in the House and if approved, construction would be supervised by the Chief of Engineers. Cartwright offered to help Bayne secure a position related to the construction if the bill passes.
