Scope and Contents
The text is a response from the Chief of Engineers to a letter regarding the construction of dams in Southeast Oklahoma, Western Arkansas, and Southwestern Missouri for hydroelectric power. The Chief of Engineers explains that the Department is already working on some projects in the area and gives details on the progress and plans for future projects. The Department does not currently have general authority for power development projects but is considering the installation of facilities for future use. The letter writer's suggestions will be taken into consideration for future projects.
