Concerns Regarding Titan III Missile Guidance System, 1962-08-29
Scope and Contents
William A. Stead, Jr. wrote a letter to Senator Robert S. Kerr expressing concern over the guidance system chosen for the Titan III missile, believing it to be inferior and putting the US at a disadvantage in the space race. Senator Kerr responded, stating that he has asked the Air Force for their views on the matter and that his staff is also looking into it, promising to follow up once their research is complete.
