Scope and Contents

Robert B. Buford writes to Senator Robert S. Kerr expressing his opposition to Khrushchev's proposal for the US and Russia to share space knowledge. He believes that the Soviets cannot be trusted and that accepting the proposal would be a risk to national security. Senator Kerr responds, agreeing with Buford's views and stating that the US should not be "suckered" into any hoax by the Communists. Kerr is confident that the President and other leaders are aware of the risks and will not accept the proposal.
