Scope and Contents
The Department of the Interior recommends the enactment of a bill to provide for the disposition of funds awarded to the Kickapoo Indians of Kansas and Oklahoma in various Indian Claims Commission dockets. The bill proposes dividing the funds based on tribal membership and allowing the tribes to use the funds for approved purposes. The Department recommends amending the bill to adjust offsets and include additional awards received by the Tribes.
