Scope and Contents

Mr. Cecil Faye Shrum wrote to Congressman James R. Jones expressing concern about budget cuts affecting the Title IV Indian Education program. Congressman Jones responded, acknowledging the issue and informing Shrum that the House of Representatives had voted to restore funding for the program. Jones assured Shrum that he would continue to work towards resolving the problem and keeping him informed of any updates.
