Scope and Contents
Congressman James R. Jones thanks Donna Rhoades for her interest in the appropriations for the Indian Education Act. He assures her of his support for the restoration of previously eliminated Title IV Indian Education Funds and informs her of the House of Representatives' decision to restore $12,200,000 in funding for Indian education programs. Jones expresses his hope for the bill to be successful in the Senate and offers assistance to Rhoades when her term on the National Council for Indian Education expires.
