Elizabeth M. Raney telegram to Congressman James R. Jones
Scope and Contents
The text contains a message from Elizabeth Raney to Congressman James Jones, asking him to oppose an amendment to the 1972 Delaware Judgment Distribution Act. Raney is a member of the Delaware Indian Tribe, and she argues that the amendment would give away 10 percent of the judgment to a group calling themselves the "Kansas Delawares." She argues that there has been enough delay already, and that no further delay is justified.
