The Cherokee Nation's Position on the Indian Health Service's Proposed Eligibility Changes, 1986-08-26 - 1986-11-07
Scope and Contents
The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma opposes the proposed changes to the Indian Health Service's eligibility requirements because they would create schisms in family units and community structures, break continuity of family practice medical services, and have negative economic impacts. The Cherokee Nation is presenting additional written comments to the IHS before October 7, 1986.
